3. Have official transcripts of all previous education (high school/GED and college) mailed to the College prior to the completion of the first semester. The applicant who is not pursuing a diploma, degree, or certificate is not required to have transcripts sent unless the transcripts are needed to prove that course prerequisites have been satisfied. (To be official, a transcript must be certified by the school/college attended and received by Cleveland Community College, in a sealed envelope.)
4. Degree-seeking applicants, Phlebotomy, Cosmetology, Nursing Assistant and technical diploma or technical certificate applicants must take placement tests in English, algebra, math and reading or must satisfy the exceptions stated in the Admissions Criteria. To determine if you may be exempt from academic placement testing, contact Admissions at 704-484-4103 or 704-484-4073.
5. If required, call the Student Success Center at 704-484-5325, to schedule a date and time to take the placement test. Click here for an ASSET Student Guide with sample test questions. The Placement Tests cover math, English, reading and algebra. Your application should be on file before we can schedule your test appointment.
6. Receive a letter of acceptance from the Dean of Enrollment Management prior to the end of the student’s first semester.
7. Allied Heath applicants (those applying for Associate Degree Nursing (RN), Practical Nursing, Radiography, Surgical Technology, Nursing Assistant and Phlebotomy) must satisfy separate, previously-established qualitative and quantitative admission requirements. These applicants are required to meet the academic and technical standards of the Allied Health curriculums.
